Brief introduction of metal powder injection molding technology

Metal powder injection molding technology is one kind of new technology that combines powder metallurgy technology with plastic injection molding technology. This technology is suitable for batch small, precise and complex and special requirement metal component production. The basic process of technology is: combining superfine metal powder with organic cementing material for liquid material; using advanced injection machine to inject into mould blank that has component shape; adopting new technology to eliminate cementing material and sintering that makes it become high dense product; adopting end treatment if it is necessary.

Characteristics of powder injection molding technology:

1. High free degree of geometry form of component; even density and high precise dimension that is suitable for small component that has complex geometry form, precision and special requirement (0.02g—200).
2. It has good agility that is suitable for ultra hard and crisp, hard cutting material or infectant or warp raw material; it can reduce production cost.
3. The product has stable quality and creditable capacity; the relative density of product is 92-100%; it can carry out cementite, quench and backfire treatment.
4. Typical tolerance of processing component is ±0.05mm.
5. It has short technology flow, high production efficiency and is easy to carry out batch and large production.
